Lot 628

Description:
This squarish NW Persian village scatter on a cotton foundation mixes a dark blue stretched octagonal field with the Goil Hennai (Hemp flower) pattern underlying a red lozenge-shaped small medallion, with a very broad well-abrashed salmon border of geometric flowers and rectangular blossoms. Definitely one-of-a-kind insofar as design is concerned. Very slight end reduction as is normal on Heriz-area weavings, but good condition otherwise with age-mellowed natural dyes.
