The Afshar tribes of SE Persia are incredibly versatile, weaving nwarly any pattern, in either knot type, with wool or cotton foundations. Here the natural old ivory field shows eight offset rows of leftward botehs, with small floral fillers between. Originally a textile pattern from nearby Kerman. Red border of octilobes and rosettes adapted from Farahan-Sarouks, Medium weave. Good condition.
