This is a characteristic large scatter from the Rafsanjani subtribe of the SE Persian Afshars. Note the subfield with a colour diagonal effect of linked palmettes, and the encompassing dark blue field filled neatly withn tiny botehs. The salmon border shows a meander and palmette design popular across Persia. The outer dark blue stripe features a meander with adhered profile palmettes resembling those of the field. All wool construction, medium – heavy handle. Good condition, but one end flatweave panel shows losses.
