From a village in the Chahar Mahal (“Four Placesâ€) weaving area of west-central Persia, this large scatter features a deep indigo field presenting a classic, ascending design of cypresses, weeping willows, potted shrubs and leafy bushes, and a central composite tree of life. Ecru strip-style border with chains of rosette-in-cartouches and similar half fillers on the sides. Medium/moderate weave on cotton. Crisp palette. Good condition.
