Bidjars just love bold arabesques, and here three columns of doubled, navy arabesques decorate the warm madder red field. Pale blue, pale green and straw-sand accents. Navy strip style border with ragged palmettes and escutcheons enclosing upright flowers. Wool foundation, very robust and compact, dense and heavy, with a short pile of top quality tribal wool. A very attractive, long wearing piece from a city Kurdish workshop. Medium weave. Good condition.
