Antique Caucasain Kazak Long Rug. Six aggressively armed and hooked geometric star medallions parade up the royal blue indigo field, in shades of ivory, medium blue, red, green and goldenrod. The ecru strip style main border presents pairs of triangles with lower hooks. There are two secondary stripes with rosettes alternating with quincunxes. A well-made kellegi from about 1900.
