Antique Caucasian Daghestan Area Rug. The relatively narrow sandy ecru field shows a floating lozenge leaf lattice enclosing upward trending flowers in geometric rows. The lattice breaks in the spandrels around the serrated and faceted arch. More saw teeth surround the field. Main border of diagonal, panel S’s. Inner bitonal keyhole reciprocal border.
