So-called “Eagle Kazak" scatter with two complete “Eagle" medallions in ecru, green and red, on a madder red field. Palmettes and buds diagonally radiate within and beyond the medallions. Characteristic narrow ecru border of doubly linked stars. Thick pile, moderate/coarse weave. Dated actually around 1881.Well drawn, tall medallions. Exceptional natural dye palette. SW Caucasian Armenian village work. All wool construction.
