From the transition period around WWI, this well-woven west Persian scatter shows an abrashed red field with a dramatic eight cypress/exclamation point star at the centre and, whole and fractional palmettes enclosing smaller palmettes, set spaciously around. Very narrow blue main border. Small vases at field ends. Apparently unique. Good condition with a firm, leathery handle.
