In a popular Persian format, this central Iranian city carpet shows a small palmette, cloud band and spiral vinery allover design on a dark red ground. Green, straw and ecru accents. Dark blue reversing petal palmette border.. Most Kashans ar in the medallion-and-corners style; this is one of the 1% in allover. Probably originally woven for the domestic Persian market. Fine weave. Cotton foundation. Slight abrash. Generally good condition.
