This totally classic SW Caucasian village weaving on wool, in a moderate knotting, shows a madder red field centred by the instantly recognizable ivory octagon set within triangular small scale chessboard corners. Secondary ivory star-filled boxes and a welter of tertiary and quaternary squares and other geometric devices. Ecru strip style border with floating ashiks. Always stylish and collectible. Good condition with high pile.
