The red field hosts two (!) characteristic octagonal Karachof medallions, within chessboard triangular corner pieces, six star-filled ecru boxes and minor ornaments. Mid-blue border with hooked bars and four-floret squares. Hooks edge the octagons within and without. A very interesting SW Caucasian piece, with a moderate/coarse weave. Good condition.
