On a straw cotton, this embroidered 17-18th century piece shows a flower specked field supporting an octilobe palmette medallion and en suite corners. Straw main border of upright flowers. Silk embroidery. Plain outer border a bit rough on three sides. Otherwise good condition. Made as a masnad, or seat of an important person in a darbar or more informal assembly. Rare.
