Perhaps Mohajeran village which was famous for very high quality, blue ground Sarouk style rugs in the Interwar period. The intense navy indigo field show spaciously positioned rosettes, wreaths, palmettes, full flowers, leaves and palmette cruciforms, decorated in cream, rust, dark blue and green. Red border with rosettes and leaves. Leathery texture, cotton foundation, medium-fine rustic weave. Good condition.
