It has been a general practice to attribute all blue ground, well-woven Sarouks to Mahajeran village in the Arak area. This elongated piece may, in fact, originate there. The blue is a pellucid sapphire and supports well-drawn, well-spaced, floating, detached floral spray motives. The rich red border features long cartouches in honey-gold and deep teal. Well and neatly woven, cotton foundation. Good condition.
