Weeping willow trees accent both the ivory field, the tall abrashed red corners and the softly scalloped ogival teal medallion. A strapwork organizes the field into reserves and positions the escutcheon medallion pendants, tonally composite hexagons and the background floral vinery. Navy border with rosettes and crossbarred volute “U†shapes. Short and velvety pile. A very attractive example of a pre-1900, first generation Mohtasham carpet on cotton, with a close weave. Good condition.
