Striped columns rising from floral navy bases to navy capitals frame the rust ogival medallion with a navy centre. Cypresses and escutcheons further emphasise the median lib. Ecru field with small flowers and red half vases (?) at the sides. Navy border with inward petal palmettes and well-designed flowering plants at the corners. Unusual Mohtasham period Kashan with a fine weave on cotton. The weavers were working from a cartoon rather than their heads here. Good condition consonant with the age.
