This is an attractive first period Mohtasham scatter with a flame-edged, round pendanted medallion set on an ecru sub-field with chunky, angular drawing. Staight, angled vinery sections. Navy field and nested cream corners. Navy border with sharp large rosettes and smaller round secondaries. Velvet surface, finely woven, cotton foundation. An appealing pre-cartoon central Persian town rug. Good condition appropriate for the age.
