A late 19th century central Persian urbane city carpet of fine weave, with a :
“bookcover” design of a rust, scalloped and pinched field, centred by a navy palmette-adorned medallion with an octogramme sand sub-medallion. Cream and navy nested corners. Navy border with rosettes. Versatile size. Velvety pile is in good condition.
