This jewel-tone, finely woven central Persian city carpet shows a deeply lobed lozenge medallion set against a navy field pattened with small rosettes and four triangular shrubs. Double snake tail inner motives between medallion and escutcheon pendants. Navy main border with palmettes, and a scalloped rose inner pseudo-border with rosettes and palmettes. Velvety Manchester-spun merino wool pile. Formal style, versatile size.
