Antique Persian Serapi (one of pair). A small central layered hexagon grows vertical lines with rosettes and palmettes and others en suite develop asymmetrically alongside. The madder red style main border subtly abrashed and shows ragged oblique leaves and schematic palmettes. A delightful little rug with rustic aplomb.
