Antique Caucasian Shirvan. From the NE Caucasus, this rustic scatter shows three characteristic 12- point Lesghi stars in red and ecru on a bear black ground filled with rosettes, quincunxes, crosshatches and stars. Main ecru border with strip style calyx and leaf repeat, and flanking minors with sectioned banded rhomboids. Light wear across the Centre.
