This east Caucasian kellegi (long rug) in the Kuba Karagashli manner shows a pole medallion of three stepped and layered diamonds, finialed by red “sunbursts”, on a medium-dark blue indigo ground, and framed by an implicit border of rosette knots. Secondary octagons and small geometric medallions. Ivory main border of floating four-flower modules. Medium weave, good condition.
