The navy field features a densely packed array of elaborate flowers with leaves, stems and blossoms in a unidirectional pattern, detailed in a lighter palette of green, coral and beige. Camel-straw “wedgie shoe” bortder with flanking rosette minors. Good weave with a wool warp, but spot wear and irregular end loss. East Caucasian. We have one other rug with a dark blue ground in the same pattern, no. 319 in prayer layout. Another, with a straw field, is 368.
