While most interwar Tehran scatters are medallion-types, this ecru field piece shows a precisely drawn pattern of two by two and a half “dumb bells” defined by irregular, arabesque latticework, and creating smaller reserves with quadruple rosettes. Main cream border of sinuous forked arabesques, palmettes and rosettes. Good condition with a fine weave and crisp, upstanding pile.
