Not Kazak or eastern Turkish, but an example of a recently isolated southern Caucasian type. The deep brown-red field shows rough colour diagonals of stepped lozenges in green, straw, cream, rust and medium blue. Abrashed red border with hooked motives and primitive chalices. Coarse weave, long pile. Good condition. A genuine example at a reasonable price.
