A rare silk pile example from the urban looms of Sivas in eastern Turkey, with a sand field displaying a small, central outline cartouche medallion over a quasi-Herati five row repeat. Tulips add a Turkish touch. Straw main border with sand cartouches featuring rosettes. Well-woven, cotton foundation. Good condition.
