This Fine Antique hand-knotted Kuba Rug Carpet, measuring 2'3" x 3'8" (0.69 x 1.12 M), is a remarkable piece of craftsmanship and cultural heritage. Its most distinctive feature is the pointed arch silhouette at the top of the central field, traditionally identifying it as a prayer rug. The central field boasts a bright, warm yellow background, a highly sought-after characteristic of classic Caucasian and Kurdish tribal weaves. The inner field is densely packed with vertical columns of stylized geometric flower buds, shrubs, or Òlife tree" motifs, arranged in an orderly grid. The rug is further enhanced by intricate geometric borders, including the classic Òrunning dog" or stylized bird/wave patterns, commonly found in authentic hand-knotted textiles from the Caucasus mountains. This rug is not only a decorative piece but also a collector's treasure, adding sophistication and cultural depth to any space. The item you're interested in is in good condition.
