Central Persian well-woven small carpet/large scatter with a straw/ blood red / navy palette.
The broad straw field of this short pile, intensely drawn piece shows a deeply layered, round 16 point medallion supported by a swirl of small palmettes and ‘fish’ leaves, with tiny en suite inner corners embedded in larger blood red escutcheon-pendanted corners defined by rounded red strapwork. avy border with palmettes and half palmette quatrefoils. As new condition.
