This modern urban fine weave all ilk scatter shows a particularly complex, filigree design based around a central round medallion with 16 flaming lobes, on a cream field. The medallion is positioned by near black vertical bands and further enhanced by red lateral sections. The ceiling effect is continued by chamfered side, end and corner sections. Navy main borer with ivory cartouches on a millefleurs ground. Exactingly drawn and flawlessly executed. An excellent example of recent fine detail work. As new condition. Upper flat weave finish with pile “islands†including a central signature cartouche.
