This is a rich deep red Fine Antique Kazak rug featuring a tribal dsign. Kazak rugs are traditional, hand-knotted tribal carpets originally woven in the southern Caucasus region (including areas of modern-day Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia). Today, many modern and vintage-style Kazak rugs are also expertly crafted in Pakistan and Afghanistan using traditional methods. Known for bold, striking geometric motifsÑsuch as large medallions, diamonds, crosses, latch-hooks, and stylized animal or human figuresÑrather than curved floral patterns. The item you're interested in is in good condition. Please note, however, that all lots are sold "AS IS."
