Although we have ascribed it to Zeychur village in the NE Caucasus, it is more likely a scatter-format Kuba from another town. The sand field displays a three/four column repeating allover pattern of angular, faceted cloudbands, serrated ashiks, cartouches, rectangles, and a geometric flower and leaves. The creamy sand border continues the abstract geometry with colourful ashiks in green, dark blue , powder blue and coral red. Good condition.
