This long Khotan rug is neutral blend of light to dark browns, the perfect neutral runner for any space. Khotan rugs (also known as Samarkand or East Turkestan rugs) originate from the historical oasis city of Khotan (Hotan) in Xinjiang, China, along the ancient Silk Road. Crafted for centuries (with peak antique production in the 18th and 19th centuries) at the cultural crossroads of China, Central Asia, India, and Persia. Typically woven in longer, narrower runner or gallery formats compared to standard square or rectangular oriental rugs. The item you're interested in is in good condition.
