He is noted as a key figure in the stylistic transition in painting from Monet to Matisse. Very Fine still life oil on canvas painting. This beautifully composed painting captures a vibrant still life of red poppies overflowing from a delicate floral vase. Rendered in rich, textured strokes, the work is signed L.
