OGDEN WOOD Listed American. New York,( 1851-1912 ) museum quality painting. (Cattle grazing by a river). Signed lower right "Ogden Wood". Provenance: A Connecticut Estate. Oil & enamel on board, 28" x 14 1/2", Framed, 33" x 14" .Framed in It's original gilded wood & gesso frame. The Artwork is in good condition, except for a shinny spots where it seems was varnished. The frame has varios repainted tiny chpped spots however it's Finely representing. Ogden exhibited at the Brooklyn Art Association and at the Paris Salon, among other places. His works are held by various museums in the United States, including the Brooklyn Art Museum. This painting is one of the artist's early pieces.
