The area of northern India, responsible once (17th-early 19th centuries) for very finely knotted rugs with Kashmir goat wool pile, now weaving embroidered and pile carpets in a variety of Persianate allover and medallion formats, curvilinear and traditional. Medium weaves. Moderate price.
