The deep, deep red field shows a central black octogramme medallion tightly enclosing a round, straw sub-medallion. The field presents barbed sickle leaves, palmettes and very slim curving arabesques. Deep red main border with palmettes and paired enclosing lancet leaves, alternating with pale blue squared cartouches enclosing individual flowers. Fine urban weave on a cotton foundation. Closely cut, brisk pile. As new condition.
