This well-woven NW Persian town scatter displays an ivory field decorated with four spiral volutes, and centred on a vaguely cruciform rust-red medallion with a central ecru rosette and four lemon botehs and two attached yellow escutcheons Rust corners. Straw border with strip-style turtles defined by forked arabesques. A complex and very unusual pattern created in a post “Hajji Jalili” workshop. Brisk, short pile. Cotton foundation. Good condition.
