As a starting point for appreciation of my work, I suggest then the quote from Plato in Critias (stone stele) in one of the last dialogues of the Sophist's work and that can be the beginning for a subtle and abstract reflection thus enhancing my art through you. Thus, bringing to consciousness the Philosophical and timeless power of inquiry, the intrinsic curiosity of the human being (wooden box) and reflection and knowledge (Rodin's thinker) as tools for moral, ethical and spiritual growth in man. Now, distancing myself from the political context in which it was used and focusing on the physical phenomenon to which it refers, I will say that this analysis is only verifiable if there is movement/action (Giacometti's walker) in which if I approach or move away, I will be closer to the light or the other way around and my shadow will be more defined or not. In another more philosophical reading the quote could be related to a process/retreat in spiritual growth, or an individual transformation, but to start this cadence and this eternal fight between light and shadow between good and evil there has to be a purpose, a tremendous and unshakable willpower (Excalibur on the rock) that can take us from the darkness of the cave to the light of day and thus be a better man in search of a better tomorrow.
