In the style of antique silk Herizes, this very finely woven, NW Turkish silk shows a straw field overlaid with dark red cartouches in a figure/ground reversing effect. Two rosettes across the centre line. Perfectly balanced and executed. Deep red border punctuated by rosettes. Silk foundation. Recent. Short pile with a complex palette of jewel tones. As new condition.
