Turkish sumaks in Persian designs are a recent innovation. Here the near black field shows large petal palmettes and barbed medallions, set around a square petal motif. Leaves and broken vines dynamically fill in. Salmon pink strip style border with palmettes and diamonds. Weft wrapping technique. wit wool pattern wefts, cotton foundation. As new condition.
