From the settled villagers of the Chahar Mahal (“Four districts”) in western Persia, this cotton foundation scatter shows a 16 point ivory medallion, and conforming royal blue and red sub-medallion saprouting buds and leaves. Red field, blue corners and accents in sky blue and yellow. Ecru border with slanted oak leaves and reversing palmettes. Moderate weave, brisk overall tonality, semi-geometric drawing. Good condition.
