Vintage Caucasian Kazak. This boldly iconic all-wool piece shows a warm madder red field floating an abrashed dark blue prayer sub-field with a basal inset and a faceted niche arch. A red and ecru double cartouche centres the pattern. Pinwheel knots enhance the spandrels. The ecru main border features red and straw triangles and stepped leaves.
