This god condition, red ground, western Persian town carpet shows an “American Sarouk" design of swimming, detached floral sprays in shades of blue, straw and cream, all set around an arabesque-defined navy four pendant medallion. Navy border with palmettes and floral sprays. Solid, heavy handle. Medium weave. This carpet is slightly longer than the standard 12' by 18' size. Rich palette. Good condition. A city Hamadan carpet.
