Quite well-woven on an all cotton foundation, this traditional urban Persian style medallion carpet displays a well-covered red field enhanced by a layered 16-point rounded medallion enclosing an octagonal suib-medallion. Elegant swaying vinery, rough palmerttes and a variety of slender barbed leaves complete the general décor. Cream extended corners with oblique palmettes and leafy stems. Black border of shield-shaped palmettes and strongly curled leaves. As new condition.
