The spiral arabesques (islimi) are oganised in two levels by the central palmette column with a rosette focal point. Forked leaves, rosettes and more palmettes anchor and develop from the springy tendrils. A third vinery levels s more discreet and has its own decorative vocabulary. Cream ground. Red border with ecru cartouches and cogwheel rosettes. Fine weave, cotton foundation, velvety pile. Good condition.
