The sandy straw field displays an allover, elaborate textile pattern of curled and lobed boteh-like leaves, leafy aroids, crown-like dishes and vigourouly flowing vegetal motives. The streaked rust main border shows curled leaves, short branches and rosettes. The intended abrash effect in the border is copied from Renaissance Spanish and Italian velvets. Single warp knots in a medium weave. Good condition.
