This is an unusual, collectible west Persian village scatter with an ecru field closely covered with colour diagonals of small botehs over which is set a round medallion with an edging of dark blue barbed leaves. Near black border with cartouches alternating with rosette octagons. Well-woven on cotton, leathery handle, short pile. Good condition. A very rare example with no know exact parallels.
