The ecru field of this squarish west Persian village carpet with urban pretensions shows a close pattern of small octogrammes swimming in a sea of little leaves and petit vinery. Red madder border with strip style rendering of a repeat composed of humped motives of paired forked arabesques. Uncommon size, cotton foundation, well-woven, natural dyes. Good condition.
