Probably from Mahareran village in the Arak weaving area, this imaginably designed carpet shows a deep indigo ground decorated with rows of various real and imaginary flowers, including irises and carnstonds, in a one-way, ascending mode. Red border with rosettes embraced by pairs of forked arabesques. .Leathery, firm weave on cotton. Well-drawn with less than a full double pattern repeat. Good condition.
